Upcoming Workshops

Basic and Advanced Erosion and Sediment Control Practices Workshop

Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District will host a workshop to provide contractors with an opportunity to maintain or obtain a contractors certification.  The course provides the required training for Contractors to become certified in Erosion and Sedimentation Control. This Workshop offers useful information for building contractors, landscapers, loggers, and town CEOs and planning board staff.  Participants taking this workshop will be able to obtain ESC certification after a site evaluation of erosion and sediment control techniques in practice.

Date/Time: Friday, March16, 2012  8 am-4pm

Location: Waterford Town Office Meeting Room

Cost:  $35.00 (includes lunch)

Farm Pond Construction Workshop and Trout Stocking Workshop (NEW!)

These 2 workshops are offered on the same day and can be taken together or alone. The Pond Construction Workshop willcover all the things necessary to create a pond on their property. The Trout Stocking Workshop will provide information about the preparing your pond for raising trout.

10:00-12:00 a.m.    Farm Pond Construction Workshop

12:00-12:30 p.m.     Lunch (included in registration)

12:30-2:30 p.m.     Trout Stocking Workshop (with Q & A session)

Location: U Maine Coop. Extension Meeting Room, Olson Rd. S. Paris

Cost: $5/ workshop, $10 for both (includes lunch)
