We offered native conservation
plants with a pick up date of June 12, between 8:30 a.m. and noon, at the Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water
Conservation District Office. The Office is located at 254 Goddard Road,
Lewiston in the USDA Service Center . From Lisbon Street, turn right onto
the turnpike ramp, travel paste turnpike exits and take a right onto Goddard
Road. The USDA and District Office are located at the second building on
the right on Goddard Road. Come to the back area of the parking lot for the
plant pick up. For directions that day, call Jane Heikkinen at 890-8536.
NOTICE TO ALL WATERSHED GROUPS
The Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District will work with any
watershed association interested in offering native conservation plants at
you annual meeting. This offer is good during June, July and August. We are able to offer the plants ( minimum of 50
plants is required) at our cost with a handling fee of $5/plant ordered..
Our supplier charges $85/hour for delivery which averages 3.5 hours for a
round trip. The District will require the watershed group to supply the help and time to
unload the delivery. Orders must be received two weeks in advance of desired
delivery date with a 50% deposit at the time of the order.
